Name the operating system, I'm naming it Ubuntu
. When you type in the name of the operating system you are installing,
it will usually autofill the Type
and Version
, if not, make sure it is correct.
In our case we our choosing the Type
: Linux
and Version
: Ubuntu (64-bit)
(I believe we downloaded the 64 bit versio of ubuntu go back and check)
Click Next
Chooose memory size depending on the amount of RAM your computer has, mine has 16gb so I will choose 8 gb to use or 8000mg
Choose 2 CPU Proceesors
click Next
Choose the
option,
Go with the recommened Create a Virtual Hard Disk Now
Disk Size
for now
Choose finish
This will bring you back to the main page
In the tutorial the Dynamically Allocated
and Fixed size
option window appear,
It does not in my version of Virtual Machine because i am using an old hardrive
Always choose Dynamically allocated
because the drive size increses with every file add only
